Name Needed For Leonard Cohen Commemorative Garden At Lissadell House

Lissadell House Request

As many fans know, Leonard Cohen performed two magnificent concerts at Lissadell House, Sligo on July 31 and Aug 1, 2010. (See Leonard Cohen & Yeats: The 2010 Lissadell House, Sligo Concerts)

Michael Purcell alerts us that

The owners of Lissadell, Edward Walsh and his wife Constance Cassidy, have posted a request looking for suggestions for the naming of a garden in Lissadell to commemorate Leonard Cohen ~ the centerpiece will be the Plaque and Canadian Maple tree as reported in The Nationalist in September 2010.

In the near future they hope to establish a Leonard Cohen Interpretive Centre to complement The William Butler Yeats Gallery which was opened by Leonard on 1st August 2010.

The Facebook post and some names already suggested can be found at Lissadell House – Leonard Cohen Garden
