Ladies & Gents, don’t believe him!
Doctor is too modest to recognize that he’s the author of the idea, and the headman.

Leonard Cohen:- You are so generous ~ That you need not be so gifted
So understanding ~ That you need not be so beautiful
So re-defining ~ That your work need not be so overwhelmingly great
& So funny ~ That you make me laugh and cry at the same time

Lots of love to you and your team……..C

I’m confused. The timeline says he arrives in Hydra on 4 January 1961, but that he buys the house there on 27 September 1960. From other sources, it doesn’t look like he bought the house sight unseen before he actually went to Hydra. Also, one source says he first goes to Piraeus and then Hydra in the spring or early summer of 1960 (the infamous dental appointment being March 1960 and his arrival in Greece being a few weeks later). So for him to arrive there in 1961, having already bought the house, doesn’t quite make sense. Is it possible there is a typo in the date of this timeline entry? Thanks in advance for the clarification.

I’m in the midst of a move so I’m not posting and I can’t respond to your queries at this time. I will, however, respond once we’re settled in – and I find where we packed the coffee filters.

One of my buddies noticed your note and sent me the clarification. Leonard came to Hydra in April 1960 (Cohen’s Lair: “Arriving in Athens on 13 April 1960, Cohen took a steamer to Hydra”). I haven’t a clue where the 1961 date came from. The timeline has been changed to reflect this correction. Thanks for letting me know about this error. Now, back to finding those coffee filters.
