Leonard Cohen Album Logos: The Hummingbird, Heart, & Handcuffs Symbol On The 1993 Tour
This entry is part of a series of posts dedicated to Leonard Cohen Album Logos.
While many of Leonard Cohen’s tours were undertaken to promote one or another of his albums, the 1993 tour in support of The Future was the one most prominently associated with the pertinent album symbol.1 Tour promotions, such as the German poster displayed above, routinely featured the hummingbird, heart, & handcuffs insignia. Many, many versions of 1993 concert posters were produced with the album logo.
In addition, the promotional literature, such as the 1993 Tour Book shown below, displayed the hummingbird, heart, & handcuffs logo prominently.
Coming Attractions: The Hummingbird, Heart, & Handcuffs Alternative
While the hummingbird, heart, & handcuffs logo was dominant, an alternative, associated graphic did exist and, in fact, carries significant implications. Stay tuned for the next Leonard Cohen Album Logos post.

- For the purposes of this post, I’m excluding the Leonard in a lawn chair design used to promote the Old Ideas Tour because of the intuitively apparent qualitative distinction between a symbol like the hummingbird, heart, & handcuffs and a real life photo of Leonard in a lawn chair. [↩]
