This entry is part of a series of posts dedicated to Leonard Cohen Album Logos.
The apogee of Leonard Cohen Album Logos exhibitions is The Essential Leonard Cohen album,1 a collection of Cohen’s songs first released in 2002 and re-released in August 2008, that includes tracks from all studio albums released before 2002 except the Death of a Ladies’ Man. Although the cover displays no logos, the inserts, the background behind the CD holders, and the back of the album cover are replete with symbols, seven that have already been featured in this series, and one new, gratifyingly obscure insignia.

Leonard Cohen: Here is another cover I didn’t use. ‘Woman Reclining on a Sphinx’ is a drawing of a small plaster statuette which has been on my desk in Montreal for twenty-five years.2
